God Says “Listen”

Only me

Focus and refocus.

After reading closer and paying attention to our instruction to feast on our “Daily Bread” I have some thoughts to share. Hopefully a comfort and maybe a clue for a seeker to think on.

God has been talking to me about children growing up. About listening for his specifics. Not just generalities. God is huge, there’s lots we can say, but time comes to tune into what he says to me. Not attention to what others were saying or doing but my own path. He said “I am a God of specifics” He leads us in way that are specific for our individual present moment. It’s about centering in on the instruction needed for our own unique walk.

The things that I’m growing through have been about new season time and new season ways in his liberty. Moving in new and more confidant ways, more closely aligned with his time. Deep stretchings. Transistionings.

As he began preparing me, He called for “Selah” pauses. To slow down and flow closer and deeper. He said. “Listen deeper.” I had to seek stillness, refocus my ears to hear him and his present moment leadings. These were instructions in the wise way to deal with the matters at hand in my own walk. God impressed some things on my heart deeply.

We are each so unique, and each of us has specific things we need to center in on in any given season, in order to flow and grow. Each has specific things we need to receive and release. When we set our full attention on private times with him alone, hearing new things and learning and growing everything changes. This change is the result of doing the necessary acts of my will to grow in deeper ways. Reminder of the charge to the saints to “Go on to maturity” from the book of Hebrews.

We can rest in his love. Our Shepherd tells us “Don’t forget what I’ve said in the light when you have to go through dark difficulties”

I was instructed to shift my attentions.

For the new era we need a new and closer yielding to his purposes. Getting our priorities more inline with where we belong in him. Feasting on the daily bread he sends for our specific needs; to do only what he has anointed us to do. To decrease so that he could increase in us. My uniqueness, and yours, requires different words and processes at different times.

Deep change has come as a result of refocusing with him. It has made an immense difference. I have peace and love like never before. The light is getting brighter. The way on the path is easier to follow. Now I am growing into new graces. I am delighting myself in his delights in me. His love is a mighty fortress.

He is the God who keeps on making all things new. I hope my story will be an encourager for you.

Seekers Of Serenity

The Serenity Prayer is one I had read and known of all of my life, but had not really understood the concept and the depth of it. In my early years I had no spiritual understanding, but as I’ve matured in the Lord I’ve learned. This process of learning  has caused me to see it in a new light.  I’ve found this prayer to be a strong life changer.  However, only our sincere desire for deep change will make it effective. The poeple of God are shifting into new times and need right alignment with kingdom truths.

In a time of paradigm shifting into higher responsibility hearts and circumstances need  changing in deep and dramatic ways.  We are naturally born human beings who are influenced and even ruled by fear.   We have to overcome this and learn how to be ruled by the peace of the Spirit.  I’ve seen and now I’m sharing with you how  powerful prayer will get us into a spiritual position that will help us to apprehend changes.I was one who  had to come up through some very dark valleys. By the mercies and the strength of the call of God I found a new strength to be victorious.  I learned as I listened to the words of the Holy Spirit working in and for me.  Over time I was taught by the Lord how to live a lifestyle of prayer.

In depth, the Serenity Prayer is a prayer of humility. God responds to respect and contrition. If we have our trust set in getting acquainted with our God he is able to make our heart willing  to submit to doing whatever is required to grow into a new grace.  It’s a confession that we don’t know, but we trust him. It’s honest in confessing we have fear but we ask for courage by wisdom and grace to deal with what must be dealt with. Not our way or the ways of any man, but His way, with a more abounding love and peace concerning all we deal with. And in the true and reverent fear of the Lord we will experience the ever increasing joy of the Lord!

This prayer lifestyle is able to deliver us from leaning on our own understandings and equip us to perceive things through His understandings and to execute His will for the time and season.. .

Jesus said “Let him who ears to hear, listen.”
