Marvelous In His Eyes

Over the years I’ve loved and admired so many great people of God and wanted so much to be like some I saw.  I spent time  wondering how I, so weak and desperately needy, can become strong in faith and confident in God?  I knew I had a strong call and was going through a lot of testing and learning. But I wondered, “How can I learn to speak for the Lord?”  My heart’s desire was to please God, so I began seeking his wisdom. And soon wisdom began answering me. It said

“The fear of the Lord, that is the beginning of wisdom. Get wisdom and in all of your getting, get understanding. “

Zechariah 8:6
Thus says the Lord of hosts; If it be marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes? says the Lord of hosts.

I listened and thought this over and I came to an understanding. Our priority is to learn what pleases God, because it is written that some things that are great in the eyes of men are not good in the eyes of God.

I learned that King Solomon pleased God when God asked him what he desired and he asked for wisdom. He said “I am but a child. I don’t know how to lead this people”  That was a good lesson for me.

Now, we know by the word that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. We are to become Christlike, but we are only unlearned children, we need the wisdom of God to lead.  We have to get over ourselves. To go on with the Lord our choices must always agree with the will of God.  Our hearts must hunger to find that place in Him where we know and trust him above all, as Jesus did. Because he sent his son to die for us all as proof of his mighty love, and He gave us the gift of Holy Spirit. Through obedience to his instruction we can tap into his love. We can set our whole heart to live from his wisdom so that we flow in his river. Mercy and grace toward others has to flow from our connection to his heart.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

He delights in those who love truth, who tremble at his word. We can never go our own way, contrary to his truth. We cannot start out and then draw back. His delight is to bless His people who hunger and thirst for righteousness. And we are the vessels he uses; we are baptized in the Holy Spirit into His divine nature.

Psalms 16:5

The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: you maintain my lot.

We consecrate our whole heart and life. A healthy fear of the Lord will be our strength and protector. It’s the key to his kingdom.

Because of our passion to get aligned with him and flow in his timings we  meekly receive the gifts he gives and we steward them wisely. Because He himself is our great reward He is able to build long suffering joy in us as we trust and obey.  He is our morning joy!

We will most assuredly make mistakes, we will fall short in our own strength. We’re in a process and we realize that no child was ever raised up doing all things perfectly. But it’s the desires in the inner heart of the man that God looks at.  It’s wise to always remain pliable and lean into his mercies, like putty in the hand of our Master.  By the strong love and strategies of the Holy Spirit we can deal with whatever might come our way.  His overshadowing love will be the strength of our heart.  He who Christ has set free is free indeed. True freedom is ours when we’re free to be all he has created us to be and we delight in it.

Help us to become wise stewards of all you’ve given us, Father.  You are Lord of all!

John 11:40

Jesus said unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if you would believe, you would  see the glory of God?

Communing With Our Own Heart

When I travail in prayer and the tears flow I’m not always sure why. We have burdens on our hearts about certain people and things but understanding doesn’t always come when we cry. I’ve come through a time like this and it brought a new baptism of the spirit in the depths. I do know that it has a lot to do with seeing how treacherous dealings are effecting people we love. But there’s also a release of joyful tears when a heart has been touched and changed. When we cry so deep that it can’t be controlled we just have to let it wash whatever needs washing. And we always come out of that kind of prayer with a new day way of being and seeing. We just know good things are happening and sadness and sorrows flee away. The Lord has released virtue. It’s a soul restoration for us and we become new. The oil of joy for mourning.

I was reminded of this earlier word..”God turns the mountain over to the roots. Our soul needs his lovelight down in the depths. Let God peel off every layer, like an onion, and get down to the core of all of our issues.”

We need a single eye. He has to refine and lift our thought patterns so that they become light. I have to keep reminding myself that we have to always yield to his work within us so that our walk is always about lifting up the name of Jesus. We’re being delivered out of the old man Adam’s soulish thoughts and ways and being changed as we grow. Our continual consent to yielding our emotions and desires to God’s total work in the now will save us from troubles later. We’re learning how to co-labor with the Lord in the blood covenant and live in the new man. God’s way is to deal in the depths with heart woundings and memories of past defeats. He is able to re-channel our fears into new day courage. In Jesus there’s nothing hopeless that’s within the will of God. The Good Shepherd is passionate to restore our soul and wash it white as snow. Adam has to die off and Christ born down in the depths of our being. If we yield fully we can trust Holy Spirit to fulfill the will of God in us.

Hebrews 9:14

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

The true Spirit of Faith is always rooted in a deep and right understanding of God’s blood covenant. Christ Supreme.
