Last Will And Testament

My friend, I have wonderful news to share with you. Before the foundation of the world our Father God laid up a heavenly inheritance for all His family in the earth. This is an inheritance that is not like the delights of the world, but one that never fades away, it just gets bigger and better. Many dream of inheriting a million dollars, but that kind of riches will take wings and fly away and carry those who follow it into darkness.

We have been assigned a part of the inheritance in the unsearchable riches in Christ Jesus. For you who wonder how we might apprehend our good fortune, I would love to share the light I have been allowed to see on this subject.

In our society, there is an established law concerning the last will and testament of one who is deceased. The will is made up before death, and contains the written desires of the individual for the dispensation of all he possesses. He declares exactly what he will leave his heirs, and at the same time, makes clear any particular conditions that the heir must meet before the inheritance is granted. The will is protected by law, and is executed by law after his death.

We who are the called of God are named as heirs of Jesus Christ; his last will and testament being recorded in the Holy Bible, New Testament gospels and epistles. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever would believe in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For he came not to condemn the world, but to save the world. He blotted out all hostility that was against us, and nailed it to his cross.

God has assigned the Holy Spirit as executor of the last will and testament of Christ, and by his incomprehensible love and mercies, he is continually at work in us; drawing us nearer and always seeking to teach us how to know and to meet the conditions for inheritance, so that we might receive the promises. By our steadfast determination to walk worthy, we become heirs of all his promises. There are glorious promises of good godly success in this life and the hope of eternity with him after this life is over.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

These truths are light that is given as keys to his kingdom. Hearts that desire to set out on their own personal life search for Jesus and his perfect life changing love through our hunger for knowledge of him can apprehend all that is given. I’m inspired to dig deeper and I hope you are too!
