I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. – Proverbs 8:17
This word is all about being lost and then being found. And being totally healed of all of the heart wounds that years of ignorance and unbelief have caused. About wonders that are laid up for us for radical faith…or the faith of radicals…
Radical Definition
Arising from or going to a root or source; basic.
Departing markedly from the usual or customary; extreme or drastic.
A person or a move which advocates fundamental or revolutionary changes in current practices, conditions, or institutions.
Are you a disciple of Christ who desires new depths and wonders? I am, I want an “all the way to the root” cleansing that will take me into spiritual purity.
I’ve learned that before we can be used by God in effective, eternal ways we need deliverance from our old carnal nature.
We need an extreme makeover. Within the soul are the root causes of our thought and action. Who we are to the core. Over years of wrong lifestyle influences roots have been embedded in the heart. Emotional trauma has set response patterns in place. Our lives had no stable foundation, we were powerless against the negatives of the life we were born into. Learned behavior patterns, things such as excessive fear, disrespect for authority, traumatic contentions and anger that causes patterns of divisiveness, had become a normal way of life for many. We were drowning in a sea of hopelessness. We thought life was just that way and we had no recourse but to make the best of it.
I speak from true life experience. For me, and for many others, it’s true that all we were familar with was void of any true knowledge of the truths of God’s love and his redemptive plams. We were on the path of destruction.
But when Jesus came to rescue us with his mercy and love we found new life and hope. Mercy and truth came to capture our attention. Little by little our hearts and lives began changing. Our hearts became his garden and he began a work of cleaning it up. A tender work of love, comforting and strengthening.
All the while God is uprooting weeds and healing soul wounds. We began to discover the thrill of his joyous good pleasure and over time we learn to yield ourselves fully to his processes. The weeds were deeper than we had imagined, yet we yield, because his Fathering love compels us. He wants to do a total purifying work in us. He has a perfect plan. It’s very far beyond any abilty or efforts of man.
Isaiah 58:12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
God lookds for willing, yielded vessels to fill. The ongoing process will be beyond our understanding. But we learn submission, knowing that he knows what he is doing. By placing our whole heart of trust on Christ within our imperfections are stripped away by his blood covered work in process. The mid is washed and renewed so that the mind of Christ guides us.
In righteousness we hunger and thirst for Christ’s kingdom word. His word upholds the righteous.
This one thing I have desired of the Lord, that I may dwell with him in his house forever.
All who will conform willingly to the will of God can be changed and empowered by grace. I’m glad to know that where Jesus has begun a work of deliverance, he will not fail nor be discouraged until he has finished it. And neither should we. Don’t draw back. Keep your peace and keep the faith. Let the river of his love flow deep within. Wait patiently as his perfect loves carries us all the way through his processes.
Our goal is maturity, the total freedom of Christlikeness.
Thank you, Father God, for the indescribable gift of your Son!
